2007 NATIONAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPORT CARD TO BE UNVEILED
Poor grades call for improved traffic signal operations that will help reduce congestion, improve fuel efficiency
What: Unveiling of the 2007 National Traffic Signal Report Card, from the National
Transportation Operations Coalition (NTOC), with support from the Federal Highway Administration, that grades the nation's traffic signals in six key areas and overall.
Why: NTOC seeks to raise awareness of the need for more traffic signal operations and management resources in an effort to decrease congestion while improving air quality and fuel efficiency.
